Itinerary

Location 1

Waterberry Lodge, Zambezi River

Day 1 & 2

Upon arrival in Livingstone you will be transferred to Waterberry Lodge, located on the banks of the Zambezi River, for your first two nights. Here you will be taken to our base and introduced to your vehicle, plus briefed on the vehicle, its equipment, the driving conditions, route and safety issues. You will also have time to get your supplies and visit the Victoria Falls, amongst other activities. Enjoy two nights here.

Location 2

Chobe Game Lodge, Chobe National Park

Day 3 & 4

Today, you head to Chobe Game Lodge which is situated west of Kasane and overlooking the Chobe River and the Caprivi floodplains. Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent game lodge located within the Chobe National Park. Once here, you can explore the Chobe River and abundant wildlife and bird species. The rooms are river-facing with en-suite bathrooms as well as private terraces. Enjoy two nights here.

Location 3

Ghoha Hills, Savuti

Day 5 & 6

Today you will make your way further into Chobe, to Savute. Ghoha Hills is located about 45 mins away frm the 'main' area, but we love it. Excellent guiding, food, views, pool make it a fantastic place to break your drive between Chobe and Khwai.

Location 4

Sable Alley, Khwai

Day 7 & 8

Today you head further south towards Khwai. Here you will find Sable Alley, a camp that sits on the side of a lagoon next to the Khwai River. Huge numbers of animals use the lagoon on a daily basis to drink meaning the wildlife literally comes to you. Whilst based here you can head into both Moremi which is a stone's throw away or the vast Khwai Private Reserve. This private reserve offers a huge array of habits including ravine woodlands, open floodplains and mopane woodland, the varied landscapes brings in a great range of wildlife that include wild dog, rhino and sable.

Location 5

Okuti, Moremi Game Reserve

Day 9 & 10

This delightful camp lies alongside the Maunachira River which flows through the Xakanaxa Lagoon, within the world renowned Moremi Game Reserve. Offering a welcome touch of comfort, Okuti has recently been rebuilt amidst the wilderness of one of Botswana’s prime game viewing regions. Experience game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve in specially designed safari vehicles, allowing unhindered views for game viewing and photography. Moremi is a park rich in wildlife and game viewing is consistent year round so it is ideal for the first time visitor to Botswana. In addition to game drives you can explore the delta waterways by motorboat – from open lagoons to winding channels it is a birder’s paradise, especially for herons and storks in the breeding season.

Location 6

Thamo Telele, Maun

Day 11

This very well run lodge is set on a private 300 hectare game farm on the outskirts of Maun and is an ideal place to stay. Giraffe, zebra, kudu, the unusual black springbok and ostrich roam freely and there is an abundance of birdlife for the avid birdwatcher.

Location 7

Kanana Camp, Okavango Delta

Day 12 & 13

Today you will be transferred to the airport for a short scenic flight into the Okavango Delta, to Kanana Camp. A hidden jewel on the Xudum River, Kanana is located in the southwest of the Okavango Delta. The area encompasses a necklace of islands dotted with palms, figs, ebony and knobthorn, and is home to a myriad of birds, plants and animals. The nature of the habitat means it is the perfect place to experience the diversity of species found within the Okavango Delta.

Today you will fly back to Maun airport in good time to connect onto your international flight.
