This itinerary allows you to circle the Zambezi River and have you travel in both Lower Zambezi National Park and Mana Pools National Park. Both are fantastic and offer a vast amount of activities, both on the ground (game drives, guided walks, etc.) and water (canoe trips, fishing, etc.). Both parks are utterly stunning, and the properties we have chosen within them are lovely and all-inclusive - and in the best spots! Mana Pools is a little more remote than the Lower Zambezi, so expect some magical nights under the stars here.
Today, on arrival, you will be met by a member of our team and transferred to Latitude 15. Here you will be introduced to your vehicle and will briefed on how to use its equipment and your route.
Today you will make your way to Chongwe River Camp set on the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi River. You will enjoy two nights here.
Eagles Rest is situated on the shores of Lake Kariba, Zambia, near the tourist town of Siavonga, only two and a half hours drive from Lusaka and only 8km from the spectacular Kariba Dam Wall.
Today you'll head over the Kariba Dam and into Zimbabwe. Located inland, the waterhole in front of this camp is the only water source for a good distance and so draws excellent wildlife right into camp. Enjoy three nights here.
Today you will make your way to the far north of the park. There are a number of exclusive campsites situated along the Zambezi River. These camps are for the visitor who seeks solitude and who wants to truly experience the wildness and challenges of the bush.
Today you will head to the Chirundu border, where you will stay a lovely river camp called Tiger Safaris.
Today you will cross the border back in Zambia and head to Lusaka for your last night on safari.
Today you will be transferred to the international airport in god time for your flight home.
Over the years we have researched and refined the list of vehicle equipment that we provide. The equipment is identical in every vehicle but we always ensure you have the essentials for each country and its respective driving conditions.
All our itineraries are tailor made, but here are some of our favourite routes and camp combinations.
