We're proud to say that we pioneered the self-drive safari holiday. Yes people were driving themselves around Africa, but no operators were selling inclusive supported tours using their own vehicles. Even today no-one provides the extensive inclusions that we do.
Our original concept which was the “self drive safari” - a way to discover Africa for oneself.
On our self drive safaris you don't have to just drive. Africa offers a wonderful selection of experiences and activities and we encourage our clients include them in their itinerary. So if, you want to finish your safari by flying over the Okavango Delta, you can!
Your safety is our biggest priority! This is why we still include satellite phones in all vehicles so you are never out of signal. We are on call 24 hours a day to support your trip. We also include flying doctor cover, which means we can evacuate you from wherever you are.
We don't mark up any of the accommodation in your itinerary. Instead we take commission from the lodges.
We are a bonded UK tour company so your money is secured and protected through our ATOL and ABTOT licensing.
Our vehicles are specially developed to be sturdy and robust in the conditions that you will encounter, and nothing rattles around. We have over 25 years of experience in this field and it shows in the vehicles. Everything you need is there, including linen and towels.
We don't outsource anything. We oversee the entire process from the moment you call us to the moment you're flying back home after your safari.
We allow one way journeys between countries at no extra charge. You just have to start and finish at our bases.
We recognise that in carrying out our work as tour operators, we have a responsibility to respect other peoples’ communities.
We have bases in each of the countries that we operate in for your briefing and also support whilst you are your safari. This means that we are never too far away from you when you might need help. Our team on the ground are there for you from the moment you get off the plane to the moment you get back on it.
