Remember, we create individual, tailor-made itineraries
so please don’t feel you have to stick to the following. It is just
one example of the many trips we can arrange in Tanzania.
Here is a honeymoon we arranged for a couple, who wanted to see
the migration in Tanzania and also wanted to spend a relaxing few
days on the Tanzanian coast.
| Day 1 |
Arrive at Kilimanjaro to be met and driven to
a fabulous lodge on the edge of Arusha National Park. |
| |
|
| Days 2-3 |
Land Rover handover and full briefing. Set off to Tarangire
National Park to stay for two nights at a lovely and very remote
special campsite . |
| |
|
| Days 4-5 |
Head to the Ngorongoro Crater, staying at a terrific lodge
on the rim of the Crater. Two days to explore this extraordinary
place. |
| |
|
| Day 6 |
Drive north through the Serengeti to a special campsite near
Seronera. This area offers exciting game viewing with abundant
elephant, lion and cheetah. |
| |
|
| Days 7-8 |
Set off west to a great little campsite in the Western Corridor
(where our clients came across the migration and saw hordes
of animals risking life and limb to cross the Grumeti River). |
| |
|
| Day 9 |
Carry on to Lobo and a stay in this fabulous area with its
stunning views over plains and hills. |
| |
|
| Day 10 |
An adventurous drive north through Klein’s Gate then east
down the wild and remote road to Lake Natron. Stay at a natural
camping area overlooking the Rift Valley. |
| |
|
| Days 11-12 |
Explore the area around Lake Natron, one of the Great Rift
Valley’s soda lakes, whose shores are often fringed with pink
flamingos . |
| |
|
| Day 13 |
Head to Lake Manyara National Park, a real wildlife paradise
with lush forest, grassland and swamp. It is the only sanctuary
in the world, where lions rest high up in the acacia branches.
It has over 350 species of bird including flamingo, pelican,
storks and sacred ibis. |
| |
|
| Day 14 |
Return to Arusha, where the Land Rover will be collected,
and stay at a restful, very comfortable lodge nearby. |
| |
|
| Days 15-16 |
Transfer to Mount Meru for two nights adventurous trekking
and camping on its beautiful and cool slopes. |
| |
|
| Days 17-20 |
Fly by light aircraft to the beach south of Dar es Salaam
for a three night stay in an absolutely sensational beach lodge.
Ride, swim, snorkel, relax by the lagoon and enjoy fantastic
food and excellent service before heading home the next day. |
