A 12 day self drive journey in Namibia in a fully equipped Land Rover Tdci Defender 110, starting and finishing in Windhoek, including accommodation and campsites as per the following itinerary

This safari is an example of the kind of safari we can organise and is being run as a special offer from 10th Feb to 5th May .  You can make any changes you wish to this itinerary – although some changes, such as extra lodge stays, will obviously incur extra costs.

 

ITINERARY

Day 1: Windhoek - On arrival you will be met and transferred to our base for a full safety and vehicle briefing. You then spend the evening at a small and friendly guesthouse in a quiet residential area of Windhoek.

Day 2: Sossusvlei - Today you drive south to the colossal dunes at Sossusvlei where you camp at the entrance of the park.

Day 3: Sossusvlei - You remain in the area of Sossusvlei but move to a scenic and private campsite about an hours drive from the dunes.

Day 4: Swakopmund - Head though the scenic Namib Naukluft Park and spend the night at a hotel on the coast at Swakopmund.

Day 5: Swakopmund - A second day in Swakopmund to restock of food and drink and explore the fascinating coast.

Day 6: Brandberg - Driving east, you camp at the foot of the Brandberg Mountains

Day 7: West Etosha - Today you will drive North from Brandberg and stay in a private lodge on the west of Etosha National Park.

Day 8: West Etosha - A second night is spent in this lovely lodge - the game here is very good and you’ll be able to do some activities with a professional guide.

Day 9 & 10: Etosha National Park - Driving further east you enter Etosha National Park and camp for the next two nights within 2 different campsites, within the campsites are floodlit waterholes which attract vast amounts of wildlife.

Day 11: Waterberg Plateau - Today you drive to Waterberg Mountains where you camp on the Waterberg Plateau - the walking here is excellent and it is a beautiful area.

Day 12: Windhoek - You return to Windhoek where you drop off the Land Rover and will be transferred to the airport in time for your overnight flight back to London.

The cost of the trip includes:

  • Accommodation in lodges/guest houses as stated in the itinerary
  • Accommodation in campsites as stated in the itinerary
  • A fully equipped Safari Drive Land Rover for 2 or 4 people for 12 days (11 nights)
  • Loss damage waiver insurance
