What can you do on a self drive?
A tailormade self-drive safari offers the freedom to design a bespoke itinerary suited to your specific desires. So, when we’re asked ‘what can you do?’, the answer is simple… anything.
With 23 years of experience designing self-drive itineraries, we’re a well-travelled bunch and our team of experts are on hand to ensure every element of your trip is exactly how you imagined.
We create trips that include anything from staying at exclusive campsites one night, to one of Africa’s most luxurious lodges the next. There’s also the option of combining an exhilarating safari, with a relaxing beach resort, trans-African adventures, as well as river and walking safaris, riding trips and bush tours with local experts.
A tailormade self-drive safari is the only way to create a truly unique adventure. The combinations are endless and the experiences are some of the best safari holidays imaginable.

SELF DRIVE DOESN'T MEAN ROUGHING IT
Many people are put off a self-drive safari because they are worried that it will entail sleeping bags, no showers and tinned food for every meal. This couldn't be further from the truth.
If camping in the African wilds is on your bucket list, our specially prepared vehicles offer a high level of comfort and an in-depth list of equipment to make your camping nights a pleasure, not a chore. You will find everything from a garlic squeezer to a cafetiere, duvets and pillows, as well as fresh laundry and towels.
All our itineraries are tailor made, so if you’d prefer to drive between lodges, whilst taking in the breath-taking landscape en route, we will design the perfect safari itinerary for you.

We can cater for a range of budgets, from a basic camping safari to a luxury lodge to lodge safari.
We strongly recommend the freedom of a self drive safari but if this is not for you, please allow us to put together a traditional safari, flying into great lodges and camps.
