| Day 1 |
Ngurdoto Lodge, Arusha |

|
| |
On arrival into Kilimanjaro Airport you will
be met and driven to a small private lodge in Arusha. You stay
here on a half board basis. |
| |
|
| Day 2 - 3 |
Tarangire National Park, Special Campsite |
| |
In the morning, you will be collected and
driven to our base on the west of Arusha, where you will
be briefed on the vehicle, equipment, route and safety issues.
Our agent will advise you on the best places to shop in Arusha
and discuss your route with you before setting off to Tarangire
National Park. You drive to the special campsite in this
lovely, game rich region. Both the bird life and mammals
here are in abundance and you are sure to have game right
in the camp with you. Here you will be camping in a special
campsite.
The campsites in Tanzania have no facilities at all so
you must be totally self sufficient. The camps are very remote
and you will be there on your own with no other people around.
You must also be prepared to have game in the camp with you
as there are no fences to keep them out, just an area to
camp in. The loo is a shovel, loo roll and box of matches
and there is no water except what you take with you !
The park has diverse vegetation and the countryside changes
regularly. There is a Baobab forest in the north and rich
marsh land in the south/centre of the park where big herds
of elephant can be found. There are also plenty of predators
to keep you alert. |
| |
|
|
|
| Day 4 - 5 |
Lake Eyasi Campsite |
|
|
| |
Driving south-west from Karatu you arrive
at the northern shore of Lake Eyasi, a mildly alkaline lake
stretching for about 50km to the south-west. Here you will
be camping. Please book and pay on arrival.
The meadows along the shores of the lake and the forests
are home to a wide variety of wildlife including leopard,
hippo, a variety of monkeys, various birds, greater and lesser
flamingos, storks and pelicans. Several very pleasant, private
campsites are located in the forest clearings by the lake,
these provide grassy tent spaces, shower and toilet facilities
made as far as possible from local materials. At night a
cool breeze keeps away mosquitos. This is an ideal place
for bird-watchers or those who just want to relax to spend
two or three nights in total peace. |
 |
| |
|
|
|
| Day 6 |
Ngorongoro Crater Special Campsite |
|
|
| |

lion and hyena. You will stay in a special Campsite set on
the rim of the Crater. Here you stay in a pre booked and
paid for campsite. |

game rich park is a very scenic region being set on the banks
of the beautiful Lake Manyara and under the imposing wall of
the Rift Valley. The park is noted for its beauty and diversity
of wildlife. There is lush forest which opens to grassland,
swamps and beyond the soda lake itself. It covers 390 sq km
and is a sanctuary to over 350 species of bird including flamingo,
pelican, storks and sacred ibis. You should see large flocks
of flamingos on the lake together with a very varied and dense
