A sample Kenya itinerary

Remember, we create individual, tailor-made itineraries so please don’t feel you have to stick to the following. It is just one example of the many trips we can arrange in Kenya.

This is a diverse itinerary we arranged for a couple, who wanted to see lots of game, do some remote camping, some great driving and a few days at the coast at the end.

Day 1 Arrive in Nairobi to be met and transferred to Wilson Airport for a charter flight to the Laikipia. Stay overnight in a super lodge with magnificent views.

Days 2-3 Land Rover handover and full briefing. Head off to a remote and peaceful campsite for two nights camping in the bush and plenty of time to explore.

Days 4-5 Set off to Nanyuki with Mount Kenya as a spectacular landmark to guide you there. Stock up with supplies and drive on to the Lewa Conservancy. Two nights here in a comfortable, tented camp in this game rich area.

Days 6-7 Continue your journey on to Samburu Community land, where you camp by the river, hosted by the local village.

Days 8-9 An onward drive to the Aberdares National Park via Nanyuki to spend two nights in a private campsite in this fabulous park famous for its rain forest.

Days 10-11 Head to Lake Nakuru National Park via Thomson’s Falls to stay in one of the prettiest campsites in Kenya. Spend two nights at this wonderful spot.

Day 12 Continue to Lake Bogoria National Reserve to see the flamingos.

Day 13 Drive to the Laikipia to hand the Land Rover back before spending a final night in the comfort and luxury of the fantastic lodge.

Days 14-17 Fly by light aircraft back to Wilson Airport to meet the schedule flight to Lamu. Here you are met and transferred to a great hotel on the beach in Shela, a short walk from Lamu Town. Three days spent swimming, snorkelling, relaxing and exploring this little island full of character and Islamic influences. Go off in a boat to find the dolphins that frequent this bit of coastline at certain times of the year.

Day 18 Head back to Nairobi for the flight home.
