A night flight to Muscat with a transfer to Salalah in the morning.
Relaxing rest after the flight at a seafront hotel near Salalah. Land Cruiser handover and briefing. Stock up on provisions.
Head off to explore the dramatic Dhofar mountains surrounding Salalah.
A day spent enjoying the serene coastline. Dolphin & whale boat trip and snorkelling.
Adventurous onward journey into the Empty Quarter amid the 300m high sand dunes with a charming Bedouin guide.
Travel deeper into this incredible desert with your Bedu guide. Seriously spectacular camping in a stunning desert setting.
The guide leaves you and you head north via Hayma and visit the sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Camp in the desert.
Meet your desert guide in Hiij and head up to Qahid to camp on the coast.
Exciting and exhilarating drive across the dunes to a wonderful Bedouin camp, inhabited by the guide's family.
Swap the vehicle for your own personal camel! Beautiful, remote camping with a really great, friendly Bedouin team. Enjoy simple and delicious, traditional Bedouin food.
Continuation of the camel trek with the small Bedouin team looking after you.
You and your now best friend (camel) return to the desert camp for a welcome shower and comfortable bed.
Set off in the vehicle via Nizwa to the absolutely magnificent region of Al Jebel Al Akhdar.
Mountain climbs amid this picturesque area of villages and fruit bearing terraces.
Final leg of the journey takes you to the breathtaking and world renowned Al Bustan Hotel in Muscat for two days of complete luxury before the flight home.
The fabulous Al Bustan makes a great base from which to explore the intriguing interior and resplendent architecture of beautiful Muscat.
A relaxing day swimming and indulging in the excellent watersports available at the Al Bustan before the flight home in the evening.
