Tanzania Classic - Five National Parks
An itinerary for a 12 night self drive journey in Tanzania taking in the highlights of Arusha, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti and Lake Manyara. Explore the Serengeti and the Northern Parks of Tanzania in this amazing itinerary.
This is a tough expedition and not suitable for those who aren't experienced in self driving in Africa as the campsites are extremely remote with no facilities.
This trip is best done between January and March when the Wildebeest Migration will be in Southern Serengeti but can be done year round (other than the rainy seasons of April/May/November).
The trip includes four nights in lodges and nine nights in special campsites and the cost is from £2,175.00 per person based on two people travelling.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha
Upon arrival you will be transferred to a small lodge which is within easy reach of the Airport and has attractive grounds and on a clear day good views of Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru.
Day 2 & 3: Tarangire NP
You will have the vehicle briefing early on Morning Two and then drive to the special campsite in this lovely, game rich region. Both the bird life and mammals here are in abundance.
Day 4: Lake Manyara NP
Today you will drive to a private Lodge which is only 5 minutes from the entrance of Lake Manyara National Park. The camp is set on 35 acres of acacia forest in a secluded part of Migungani Village.
Day 5 & 6: Serengeti NP, Naabi Hill
Driving via Ngorongoro Crater, you head to the south of the Serengeti where you spend two nights camping at a Special Campsite.
Day 7 & 8: Serengeti NP, Seronera
Drive further into the Serengeti to camp at a Special Campsite near Seronera. If you wish to do a Balloon Safari, then we can arrange this from here.
Day 9 & 10: Olduvai
Olduvai Camp is a permanent tented camp set on a hill overlooking the Olduvai region. The camp is in the heart of the migration between January and March.
Day 11 & 12: Lake Manyara NP
The park is noted for its beauty and diversity of wildlife and you spend two nights camping here before returning to Arusha.
Day 13: Depart Arusha
Return to Arusha before being transferred back to the Airport for an early evening flight.
