Places to visit
Here is a list of just some of our favourite places to visit in Oman. They are all places that we would recommend for a self drive safari although some of them (such as the Empty Quarter and Wahiba Sands) can not be visited without a guide owing to extremely challenging navigation and difficult driving conditions.
This is not a comprehensive list so if there are other places you are keen to visit and would like further information please just let us know and we'll be happy to help.
Wahiba Sands
Stunning dunes and extensive woodland along Oman's unspoilt eastern coastline.
Al Jebel al Akhdar
The heart of the Al Hajar mountains with soaring peaks and verdant terraces.
The Empty Quarter
A majestic and captivating wilderness, home to the resilient Bedu.
Muscat
The beautiful walled Old Town with ancient houses and striking forts.
Salalah
A garden city surrounded by coconut and banana groves on the lovely, palm tree-fringed coastline of southern Oman.

Vehicles and Equipment
Safari Drive Land Rovers are equipped the highest standards using the latest roof tents, fridges, cooking and camping equipment for up 4 people.
We use both locally registered Land Rovers and UK registered vehicles for longer international journeys.
