A 14 day self drive safari in southern Namibia exploring the Transfrontier Park & the Fish River Canyon. This is ideal for those who have already done Northern Namibia and want to get off the beaten track and see varying terrain and landsapes.
This itinerary can be done year round and includes two nights in lodges and twelve nights camping. The cost is from £1,175.00 per person based on two people traveling in low season.

Day 1: Depart London
You will depart London for your flight to Windhoek.
Day 2: Windhoek
On arrival, you will be met and taken to your lodge. In the afternoon you will be driven to our base where you will be briefed on the vehicle, equipment, your route and safety issues.
Day 3: Mariental Campsite
Having stocked up with fresh food take the road south and spend the night near Mariental. Here you will be camping in the tranquil surroundings of a pre booked campsite.
Day 4: Mata Mata, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
This morning drive from your camp and cross the border from Nambia into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The camp is the border between Namibia and Botswana and is surrounded by thorny Kalahari dune bushveld.
Day 5 & 6: Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
There is a choice of some excellent, well appointed campsite within the park. You will be camping in a pre booked campsite.
Day 7: Fish River Canyon
Drive to the Fish River Canyon. Nearby is a small well appointed campsite with shaded camping areas and good showers and loos.
Day 8 & 9: Klein Aus Vista Campsite, Aus
Today you have two a choice of routes, the longer but truly beautiful option is south to the Orange River then north to Rosh Pinah and Aus. Here you will be camping in a pre booked campsite.
Day 10: Namib Naukluft
Today you drive to a privately owned biosphere reserve covering an area of 16,400 hectares situated at the edge of the Namib Desert in the Tiras Mountains.
Day 11: Sesriem Campsite, Sossusvlei
Drive south to Sesriem. You camp near the world’s highest sand dunes at Sossusvlei in the Namib Naukluft Desert, the world’s oldest desert.
Day 12: Bloedkoppie Campsite, Northern Namib
Today you will drive north and head to Bloedkoppie, a pleasant campsite with some stunning views over the Namib desert.
Day 13: West of Windhoek
Drive towards Windhoek on the steep and dramatic C28. Slow and very careful 4x4 driving is required on this road. The lodge you will stay at is set on a hill over looking the Friedenau Dam.
Day 14: Depart
Drive back to Windhoek, return the vehicle and transfer to the airport for your flight to London.
