A Classic Namibian Journey

A 13 day self drive safari covering the best parts of Namibia including Etosha, Damaraland, Sossusvlei and the Skeleton coast.

This trip can be done year round and include three nights in lodges and nine nights camping. The cost is from £1,675.00 per person based on two people traveling in low season.

Itinerary

Day 1:  Windhoek
Arrive in Windhoek. Stay overnight in a lovely, small, family-run lodge - a wonderfully friendly and comfortable place to relax after the flight. Afternoon briefing on the Land Rover and routes/safety.

Day 2 & 3: Sossusvlei
Drive to Sossusvlei and camp by the huge and spectacular dunes of Sossuvlei. Get up really early one morning and walk to the top of the dunes to see the sunrise - spectacular.

Day 4 & 5: Swakopmund and the Skeleton Coast
Arrive at a luxury hotel on the beach in Swakopmund. Boat out into the bay to see penguins, dolphins and seals or go quad biking in the dunes or deep sea fishing.

Day 6: Damaraland
Continue on to a great camp in Brandberg, where desert elephant may be found.

Day 7 & 8: Western Etosha
Drive to a private concession on the western side of Etosha where you spend the next to nights. The owner of the lodge is extremely knowledgeable about birds and this is one of the few places where you can do guided night drives.

 Days 9 & 10 & 11: Etosha National Park
Next is Etosha National Park where you spend three days camping, the first at a campsite with a floodlit waterhole and the next two days at a private campsite on the Eastern side of the park. Wonderful game-viewing.

Day 12: Waterberg Plateau
Head on to Waterberg Plateau, an imposing, red, rocky outcrop set amongst the plains of the National Park. A fabulous camping location.

Day 13: Depart Windhoek
Return to Windhoek where you leave your Land Rover at our base before being transferred to the Airport for your ongoing flight.
