Southern Malawi, wildlife and tea estates
A 14 day self drive safari starting and ending in Lilongwe and taking Majete National Park, the Southern tea estates and Lake Malawi.
This trip is best taken during the drier months (May - Oct) and includes six nights camping and seven nights in lodges.

Itinerary
Day 1: Lilongwe lodge
Arrive into Lilongwe & transfer to a lodge to relax before afternoon vehicle briefing.
Days 2 – 5: Majete National Park
Camping at a community campsite in Majete National Park. A great wildlife experience & opportunities for cultural tours.
Days 6 - 7: Thyolo tea plantations
Drive to Thyolo and the tea estate region of Southern Malawi, enjoy tea & coffee tasting among other activities.
Days 8 - 9: Camping
Drive to the stunning Zomba Plateau to camp for two nights.
Days 10 - 12: Lake Malawi
Stay in a comfortable lodge on the Southern shores of Lake Malawi in Cape Maclear.
Day 13: Return to Lilongwe
Head back to Lilongwe today to hand over your vehicle and relax for your last night in Malawi.
Day 14: Depart Lilongwe.
